About this calculator
Blood alcohol concentration (BAC) estimates how alcohol affects you based on your weight, sex, number of standard drinks, and the time over which you drank them, using the Widmark formula. It shows your approximate BAC over time and roughly how long until it returns to zero. Remember: this is an educational estimate, never a guide for deciding whether you can drive. In Canada, impaired driving laws are strict, with criminal charges possible well before you feel drunk.
Tip: eat before drinking, pace yourself to about one standard drink per hour, and always plan your ride home before the first drink.
