Counting a jar of change by hand is slow and error-prone. Enter how many of each coin you have — toonies, loonies, quarters, dimes, nickels — and the counter totals the value instantly, with a breakdown by denomination and an optional roll-wrapping summary for the bank.
It is simple multiplication and addition, but the value is in the breakdown: seeing that quarters make up most of the total tells you which rolls to wrap first. Canadian coin rollers follow standard counts — 25 loonies or toonies per roll, 40 quarters, 50 dimes or nickels.
Tip: Most banks accept rolled coins free for account holders but charge for loose-change counting — ten minutes with rollers beats the coin-machine fee.
