About this calculator
The Fuel Burn calculator estimates how much fuel a flight will consume and whether reserves survive the trip. Enter burn rate in gallons per hour, flight time, taxi and climb allowances, and required reserve. It totals trip fuel plus reserve into a minimum departure fuel figure and converts between gallons and pounds.
Tip: always add a personal minimum above the legal reserve — regulations assume perfect execution, and unexpected vectors or a go-around should never turn fuel into your emergency.
