About this calculator
Choosing an AI model means comparing more than sticker prices. Enter your expected monthly input and output tokens (or requests), and this calculator prices the same workload across popular models — showing monthly cost, cost per thousand requests, and which model is cheapest at your volume.
Each model's cost equals (input tokens × input price) plus (output tokens × output price), usually quoted per million tokens. The cheapest model per token is not always cheapest overall — a model that answers in fewer tokens can win despite a higher rate.
Tip: Re-run the comparison quarterly. Providers cut prices aggressively, and last year's expensive flagship is often this year's budget option.
