Body surface area estimates the two-dimensional surface of the human body and is widely used to dose chemotherapy and some critical medications. Enter height and weight; the calculator applies the Mosteller formula — the square root of height in centimeters times weight in kilograms divided by 3600. The result is expressed in square meters. For educational purposes only — always verify with your facility's clinical protocols.
Tip: because BSA is nonlinear, small weight changes matter most in children, so re-measure rather than reusing old values for pediatric patients.
