๐ฑ Cat Age in Human Years
Cat to human age conversion
About this calculator
Cats mature fast in their first two years, then settle into a steady pace. Enter your cat's age and the calculator converts it to human-equivalent years using the veterinary guideline: about 15 human years for year one, 9 more for year two, then roughly 4 per year after.
That front-loaded curve reflects reality โ a one-year-old cat is a young adult, not a seven-year-old child. Indoor cats commonly reach 15 to 20 years, which maps to 76 to 96 in human terms, so those "senior" labels at age 11 make sense.
Tip: Start senior wellness checks around age 11 (about 60 human years) โ kidney disease and hyperthyroidism are common and far easier to manage when caught early.
