🛫 Takeoff Distance Estimator

Ground roll and 50 ft distance adjusted for conditions

About this calculator

Takeoff performance follows the Koch chart rules that every pilot learns: distance grows with density altitude and with the square of the weight, headwind helps a lot, tailwind hurts even more, and grass adds a penalty over pavement. This calculator applies those standard factors to your POH sea-level numbers for a quick estimate.

Tip: book numbers assume a new engine, perfect technique, and a paved runway. Add your own personal margin on top, especially with obstacles past the far end.
